OUR VALUES
1.GOD’S WORD
We will give priority to God’s Word: We want to build a Church founded on God’s Word. We will submit to it and strive to teach it in a lively, faithful, systematic, Christocentric, and contextualized way. The Bible is sufficient to strengthen believers in their faith and to lead unbelievers to Christ.
“God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe” (1 Corinthians 1:21).
2.BE WITNESSES
We will witness in word and deed: Sharing the Good News of the Gospel is at the heart of what we do and teach, so that as many people as possible may come to faith in Christ. Through lifestyles of hospitality, friendship, love, and service, we want to share our hope, Jesus-Christ.
“You will be my witnesses … to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).
3.MAKE DISCIPLES
We will make disciples of all nations: We want to be disciples who make disciples who make disciples. A disciple seeks daily to manifest the character of Christ and to do his works.
“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others » (2 Timothy 2:2).
4.LIVE AS CHRIST’S BODY
We will live as Christ’s body: We want our Church to be a dynamic and loving community of believers. Each one should know their spiritual gifts and seek to serve others accordingly.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms” (1 Peter 4.10).
We will strive to build relationships characterized by the grace, love, and truth of Christ. We organise fellowship groups, share our joys and carry one another’s burdens.
“There should be no division in the body, … its parts should have equal concern for each other” (1 Corinthians 12:25).
5.CULTURAL DIVERSITY
We will value our cultural diversity: “God so loved the world.” We also love the World! We want to be sensitive to each culture represented in our region and be welcoming to them. Jesus said:
“My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations” (Mark 11:17).
6.WORSHIP GOD
We will worship God through music and prayer: We want to honour Him with songs that will be enthusiastic, edifying and culturally adapted.
“I will praise you, Lord, among the nations; I will sing the praises of your name” (Psalm 18:49).
We want to show our total dependence on God through personal and group prayer.
“Apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15.5).
7.CHURCH FAMILY
We will be a Church family for young and old: We want to model our faith to our children, teach them God’s Word, and integrate them into our fellowship.
“These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children” (Deuteronomy 6.6)
